Administrative / biographical background

The St. Bede's Lodge was named and established in 1774 and met at the King of Prussia, South Shields, Durham. In 1789 the lodge moved from South Shields to Morpeth, Northumberland, meeting at the Wheatsheaf, Market Place. In 1805 the lodge met at the Masonic Rooms, Herbert's Buildings, Morpeth and the meetings remained there until the lodge was erased in 1815.
