Draft deed of appointment, direction & release.

i) Sewallis Edward, (10th) Earl Ferrers.

ii) Ina Maude, Countess Ferrers, wife of i).

iii) P.F.C. Rawdon Hastings of Thame, co. Bucks., & Wm. Robinson Partridge of Repton, co. Derbs., retired Colonel, the Settled Land Act Trustees.

iv) Paulyn Francis Cuthbert Rawdon Hastings, above.

i) appoints proceeds from sale of portions of Chartley Estate remaining after payment of costs, to be held in trust for i).

ii) directs iii) to hold proceeds in trust for i), freed from her contingent rent charge of £2000 and sum of £1000.

i) and ii) authorise iii) to apply sums mentioned in schedule in discharge of mortgage and purchase of Government annuity, payment of £5300 purchase money for Breedon estate, and payment of costs.

ii) directs that if contingent sums of £10,000 for eldest son, and portions for the younger children of i) and ii), become payable, iv) to raise & pay sums in priority over contingent sum of £1000 and contingent annuity of £2000.

ii) releases iii) and iv) from demands in respect of deficiency of premises remaining to produce £1000 and £2000.
