Assignment from Dalby Thomas and John Thomas sons and executors of the will of William Thomas late of Ratcliffe co. Middx. esq. deceased at the direction of John Dalby of Brookhampton gent to Samuel Greene of Warwick gent. and Chambers Slaughter of Mollington gent. in trust for Ambrose Holbeche of Mollington gent. of a statute staple dated 4 June 1658 for £1000, in consideration of £1000 paid to the assignors by the said Ambrose Holbeche, being the same consideration as that mention in the conveyance dated [the previous] day's date from John and Richard Dalby to Ambrose Holbeche of the manor or reputed manor of Brookhampton [see schedule attached thereto]. It was not intended to extend the statute unless difficulties arose over the enjoyment of these particular lands, and any benefit arising from the eventual extent of certain other lands formerly also belonging to John Dalby deceased, namely a messuage called the White Horse in Hillend in Ste[p]ney alias Stebonheath co. Middx. and a close called the Hoppers in Butlers Marston co. Warwick, was reserved to the purchasers of the same, that is Thomas Wright and Richard Collins respectively.
