Ts memoir (308pp), written in 1973, of her experiences in the ATS (July 1943 - August 1949) describing her conscription, her training in Droitwich, Worcestershire and her subsequent employment on clerical and switchboard duties at Kingston camp in North Wales, with the 2nd Echelon in London, the ATS Records Office at King Alfred's College in Winchester, the Infantry Records Centre in Warwick and at an Arts Course in Chester, her demobilisation in 1946, re-enlistment the following year as she was unhappy with civilian life, attendance at the ATS Training Centre at South Mimms and further postings to a Signals Course at Catterick, Yorkshire, to Figsbury barracks on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire and finally to Moascar Camp in Egypt where she remained until 1949. The account is notable for her lively accounts of her numerous wartime romances and for her character sketches of her ATS colleagues.
