EAST RIDING VEHICLE REGISTRATION RECORDS

Contains East Riding vehicle registers 1905-1920, 1923-1926, 1932-1976; East Riding vehicle registration cards 1921-c.1976 Vehicle registers for some parts of the BT mark series and the register covering marks WF 1-5000 have not been deposited and are presumed missing. Information relating to some of these registrations may however be available in the vehicle registration cards. The vehicle registration cards may contain information additional to the main registers or reflect the subsequent history of the vehicle and its registration. The registration card may only be a brief card acknowledging a transfer to another licensing office; if the registration has been re-issued then the card is normally for the latest use of the registration.
