This file is enclosed in a covering page. In William Snow Harris' handwriting is written "No 7 this appears to be a description of the Experiments referred to in No 6 [crossed out in pencil and replaced with "4"] of which there contains The Preliminary Propositions the Experiments are very beautiful. WH". At the top of the cover page, "No 7" is written in red pen. There are pencil notes at the top "First of Experimental Papers" and at the bottom "D1 to D13 Sphere and hemispheres".
