Title
Armstrong Siddeley Motors Memo from Mr Lambert to Mr Golovine: Visit to Gloster's. A question of price
Date
6 March 1952
Description

'The one point which is exercising Mr Greenwood's attention is the question of price. Apparently the opinion is gaining ground that the GA.5 will be such an expensive aircraft that we shall not be able to build it in sufficient numbers. Mr Greenwood is inserting a paragraph in the brochure on this matter, emphasising that the GA.5 structure is economic for its size, and much of the cost will be in the equipment of the aircraft, particularly radar, which is not the fault of the aircraft as the cost would be the same no matter in what vehicle it was installed.'
