The collection of Methodist Church records contains records from the Liverpool South Circuit and the Liverpool Methodist Mission Circuit. A number of baptism and marriage registers appear providing valuable information relating to family history. There are also a number of roll books also giving details to the membership of the individual chapels. Also included in the collection are various accounts, pulpit notices and orders of service. There are a number of very useful anniversary booklets written by the Chapels themselves giving a history of the Chapel. Printed material produced by the Chapel gives an insight to the services held, outreach programmes and the administration of the Chapels.

All of the following individual Churches and Chapels were part of the Liverpool South Circuit (except for Liverpool Central Hall which was part of the Liverpool Methodist Mission Circuit). Through the administration of the Circuit there was a great deal of co-operation between the individual Chapels. Individual administrative histories accompany each Chapels.
