Description (What the record is about)
-
Royal Institution MS
Has tried some rough shots with the Pb coil but has not solved problem of getting it through the neck of a B.P. flask, so has tried in a round bottomed porcelain beaker. Discusses this, commenting on use of flat coil and on cylindrical spiral. Gives details of new tube in which he has constructed coil with an additional spiral; this promises to be much better.
