Title: Box 24. "Hami, Altai, Kalmuks, Lamasery, etc."
Description: File of glass negatives (and surrogate material) from a single original cardboard box. Box lid information: Ilford Auto-Filter Plates. Box lid is numbered "24" and has written on it "Hami, Altai, Kalmuks, Lamasery, etc." Also written in ink is "Exp Panch", and "14 neg" is noted in pencil on a small piece of paper gummed to the label. The box contained fourteen glass negatives, from which (in 2004) new negatives, low contrast 'postcard' prints, and two contact sheets were generated.
