Premises: messuage consisting of two dwellinghouses, now in occupation of (2) and William Russell in backyard of Red Dragon Inn adjoining on north east to messuage late in occupation of Thomas Chamney, gent. of manor of Kirkby Lonsdale, held, together with messuage where Thomas Chamney lived and part of messuage now inhabited by Robert Greenwood, stationer, of Sir James Lowther, bart, of yearly rent of 4s. 1d., premises here conveyed being of proportioned yearly rent of 1s. 6d

Endorsement: covenant, 16 September 1783 by Elizabeth Middleton, sister and heir of (1) and devisee under will of James Middleton, to assure premises to (2) as long as she expects no compensation for the tenants of rooms in house lately occupied by Thomas Chamley using her staircase
