- resignation of Arthur Basen as Air Raid Precautions Officer & Sub-Controller of Central Area;

- Casualty Services training scheme;

- communications from Senior Regional Officer regarding public shelters on roadway verge, Harrowden Road, and plot of land adjacent to 91 Harrowden Road, Bedford; painting Air Raid Precautions vehicles in standard colour; transfer of Bedford Borough Air Raid Precautions offices to a new location; local Civil Defence training facilities for military personnel; gas exercises; casualty returns; demolition by explosives; Air Raid Wardens - deferment arrangements for whole time personnel ; Rescue Parties premature ceasing of work; Decontamination Squads; use of Air Raid Precautions ambulances for Home Guard casualties;
