Description

A photocopy of a formerly "Secret" document (classified as "Restricted" in 1946, and declassified in 1947) prepared by Captain D L Ady, with the title "Singapore Island".

The document assesses population and government prior and subsequent to enemy (Japanese) occupation, and local espionage and intelligence matters. Fifty-five numbered pages, plus an "Index" (in effect, a Contents page), on which is noted the document's progress from "Secret" to "Declassified".

The file also includes three letters:

(1) 28 January, 1999. D L Howard-Ady [formerly Captain D L Ady] to David J Easton, Secretary, RSAA, enclosing (copy): (2) 25 February, 1996.
