Draft letter from the Local Government Board to Walter May Barton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt on 7 January 1880 of the form of queries containing the particulars of the appointment of Charles William Eastoe as schoolmaster at the workhouse of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union. They observe from the answer to query number 6, that Eastoe was previously employed as a junior teacher. They wish to know where this appointment took place.
