Description (What the record is about)

Office copy of will of 27 Feb. 1709 [/10?], and codicils of 1 May 1710 and 3 May 1710, proved 2 Nov. 1710 by John Weaver, his son and executor.
Testator : Arthur Weaver of Morville, co. Salop., esq.
Legacies slightly different from D2153/824 : To son, Anthony : messuage and garden built by testator in Bettus, co. Mtg., and enjoyed by poor people, £10 annual rent charge from glebe and tithe of Tregynon, co. Mtg., to be employed in setting poor/children on work in Bettus or Tregynon. Account to be read on Whit Sunday in each church.
Granary in Bridgnorth and £112 12s. 6d. to be used to buy c.900 bushes of corn when it is c. 2s.6d. a bushel, and sold when above 4s. Rest to be used towards looking after the corn, and perpetuating the stock.
2s. 6d. to be reserved out of each bushel sold, and rest given to poor house keepers of Bridgnorth with 3 or more young children.
To curates of Morville, £13 13s. 4d., curate of Aston Eyre, £3 13s. 4d., to curate of Quatford £3 13s. 4d., out of tithes.
To son, Edward. gold ring worth at least £2 2s. annually.
To son, Anthony : messuages called Pennarthucha and Pennarthissa, cottage and lands in Mtg.
To son, Arthur, lands in Salop. and tenement in Mayn - Lloyd, co. Mtg., £200.
To son, Thomas, messuage bought from Mr. Worsewicke, tenement in Higley, co. Salop.
To dau., Mary, £3000 in lieu of legacy of A.W's. father.
To dau., Frances, £60 rent charge p.a. for maintenance.
To heads of family of Lord Powis and Lord Bradford, piece of plate worth at least £30.
Executor : John Weaver, testator's son, or Edward, if he fail to prove/execute the will.
Codicils : £200 to Arthur Weaver, his son.
Messuage and lands in Gwernawid in Kerry, co. Mtg., to Thomas Weaver.
Pennarth Mill and lands adjoining co., Mtg., to son, Anthony.
