Records donated by Mr. J. Barfield, Baptist Union of Great Britain and Ireland, Baptist House, on 2 April 1992.

Administrative / biographical background

A temporary Baptist Chapel was erectd in 1872 and registered for marriages on 16 August 1876. The permanent chapel on Broughton Road was built in 1885 and registered for marriages on 23 December 1886. Revd. J.G. Anderson was minister in both.
