Description

Letter of Owen Collins, Secretary of the Union Lodge to Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary stating that the lodge was astonished that Grand Lodge would 'harbour any notion' that Terence Divine had been unfairly treated. He goes on to say that the committee who were nominated by the lodge to sit on his trial had been lenient as he had accused James Ashworth of many terrible things, which are known not to be true and he had used 'the most ridiculous and profane language that could possibly be uttered in a Mason lodge, and all to our thinking through jealousy of not been put into office.'
