The Political Committee met on a monthly basis to co-ordinate the political activities of the Club. It was responsible for inviting various, often notable, speakers to address the members on issues of the day, it sent letters expressing the opinion of the Club and organised practical help for local Liberal politicians. It also acted to keep the Reform Club a Liberal Club: when necessary it would ask for the expulsion of members who did not hold Liberal views.
