The title-page contains the following additional text, in Schomberg's hand: "Chap I is introductory. 'Cold Deserts' deals with the AKSAI CHIN, and the NW uninhabited part of Tibet. As a result of the journey, a map (4" to 1 mile) was published by the Survey of India. Date 1937(?)"
