Folio 194. Draft letter from the Local Government Board to John Long, Overseer for the parish of Worthing in the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union acknowledging receipt of his letter which appealed against the disallowance of £9 12s 2d made in the accounts by JHK Roberts [J Howells K Roberts], District Auditor. They request for the receipt of his predecessors in office for the sum disallowed. They also request on what grounds he is appealing against the auditors decision and also that any further communication upon the subject should also be signed by James Hutson from whom as well as Long the auditor has certified the sum in question to be due.
