These papers include twenty-one letters to and from N D Simpson and the Botanical Society of the British Isles (BSBI), Erith, Kent, Dr Effie Rosser of Manchester University, Barbara Welsh (1904-1986) of Richmond, Surrey, Geoffrey Wilson of Barrow-in-Furness, A J Wilmott of British Museum (Natural History) and Eleanor Sachell of Llandaff, Cardiff. There are also twenty plant lists containing lists of plants and the location from which they were collected - Donegal, Dunfanaghy, Ireland, Easdale, Pitlochry, Scotland, Befordshire, Barrow-in-Furness [Cumbria], Yorkshire, Hartlebury Common [Worcestershire], Brecon, Taunton and Berrow [Somerset]. It also includes eight BSBI and Botanical Exchange Club (BEC) itineraries for field meetings or excursions to various locations in order to collect plant specimens, four BSBI Programme of Excursions, four handwritten notes and three maps of Scotland, Pitlochry and Taunton.
