Letter-book of Sir Isaac Wake containing autograph copies of his letters as Ambassador to France addressed to Dudley Carleton, Viscount Dorchester,Secretary of State, and after the latter's death on 15 February 1632 to Richard Weston, 1st Earl of Portland (1633) and Sir John Coke, 14/24 April 1631 - 13/23 May 1632. For Wake's commission and the treaty negotiated by him see Foedera, XX, 302-3, 361-5. Wake's earlier letter-books are British Library Add. MSS.18,639-42, 34,310-11.
