Description

1. John Pennington of Bandridgehead, in Furnessfells, Lancashire, Bank merchant.

2. Thomas Scotson of Bouth, Furnessfells, aforesaid, yeoman.

Premises as security: all (1) lands at Bandridgehead, aforesaid.

Consideration: £270 to be paid on 2 February 1757 with interest at £4 per £100 per year.

Rent: 1/8d bloomsmithy rent.

Witnesses: Robert Turner, William Brocbank, Thomas Tyson.

Endorsed: Promise note (1) to pay (2) £100 with interest of 9½d for every £1 on 2 February 1754; 4 receipts for money received by John Scotson 1761-1763.
