1. Page 3 Engines for prototype aircraft: Sapphire 9, two conversion sets £33,500 converting two sa.7 engines allocated form DEP production. These are required for the Ashton flying test bed allocation to Armstrong Siddeley Motors for flight development test of the higher powered Sapphire engines. The total sum for this section of these estimates then becomes £651,500 instead of $ 618,000 2 Page 2 design and supply for development: The two items for the 15,000 lb ATO rocket covering 5 engines at £31,000 is to be treated as an alternative project to the other rocket work specified and under these circumstances the sum of £31,000 will not be included in the total estimates
