Description

Copy of a Survey of the Encampment of seven Battalions on Barham Downs in Kent in the year 1757 Commanded by His Grace the Duke of Marlborough. [Surveyor unknown.] About 9 in. to 1 m.

About 2500a. including Barham, Kingston and Womenswold villages and part of Derringstone. Shows trackways and footpaths. Buildings, except a post-mill, in block plan. This copy map, finely drawn and coloured, may be the work of Thomas Yeakell.
