Includes a) Macmillan acting as intermediary with their US company in the consideration of titles for sale or purchase of rights, especially in Dutch vet by A.M.H. Roothaert for which Macmillan purchase US rights from Routledge, and b) a dispute between the two companies caused by the title "How to pay for the war" being used by Macmillan for their book by John Maynard Keynes after Routledge had already used it for their book by E.F.M. Durbin - Harold Macmillan writes to defend his company's action.
