Sad not to have been in when she rang “I was out with Peggy and the dog” and asking her to ring again “I daren’t ask to phone from here, they may not like it. That’s why I ask you to phone me”. She says she is to return to Okehampton on 18 September. Hoping to see Sybil if she visits. Asking about the animals. Hoping to see Rex. “We have been over to the Angry Cheese” [at Ashurst] for lunch today.” Giving other general news.
