Of James Lloyd (born 1801) of 5 Kingsland Green, a house on the north side of the Green later demolished when the Broad Street extension of the North London Railway Line was constructed.
Lloyd makes daily entries covering family life, charitable dispensations (including those to workhouse inmates). Links with St Matthias Church and Balls Pond Church. Lloyd pious and much religious content in diary. Each entry also accompanied by a running record of expenditure. At front recrod of addresses, including his son James who was resident in New Zealand.
