Description (What the record is about)
-
The precise reason for the presence of these documents in the Jerome/Heytesbury papers is not immediately apparent. Thomas Dickonson was closely connected with Leonard Troughear, they were brothers-in-law, but it is clear from JER/HBY/232/1 that they fell out most bitterly in 1782 and do not appear to have been reconciled. A more likely connection is through Henry Worsley, one of the three executors of Dickonson's will. The marriage settlement of Thomas Dickonson with Elizabeth Troughear will be found as JER/HBY/106/4.
