6 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 14 inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion.Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine, plans and sections of the engine and boiler, showing winding barrel; plan and sections of the framing and cistern. All the drawings bear letter codes.
Catalogue of Old Engines p. 90.
For Barrow Lees & Co. Winding engine, Werneth Colliery, near Oldham. This engine does not appear in John Southern's List of Books or in the Drawing Office Index, but it is included in the List of Engines made at Soho.
