Description

Folios 729-733. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Mr Longley [Henry Longley], Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Board, reporting his inspection of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union workhouse on 3 March 1870; includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, numbers of inmates.
Annotated: 'write to the guardians referring to Mr Longley's visit to the workhouse on the 3 March 1870 (see 52880/1869) and request the guardians to forward amended plans of the proposed alterations and additions to the workhouse.' 9 March 1870.
