Recital of the Mortgage of 9th May 1741 (465/313)

Whereas John Stanier agreed with Timothy Seymour for the purchase of the inheritance of the premises and the same is conveyed to him; and Stanier has contracted with Sandford for the sale of the estates and premises for £3,276, and Margaret Lee being willing to receive her principal and interest due on the several mortgages and to assign the several terms toattend the inheritance of the premises so purchased and agreed to be conveyed to Sandford: So in consideration of the sum of £3, 150 to M.L. from Sandford in full for principal and interest being part of the consideration money agreed to be paid to Stanier for the absolute purchase of the premises, M.L. by the consent and direction of Stanier and Sandford has assigned to Harries all the mortgaged premises and the right, title, use, terms of years yet to come and claim of M.L. in the same; to hold to Harries for the remainder of the several terms of 1,000 years and 1,000 years yet to come upon special trust and confidence that the estate granted shall wait upon and attend the freehold and inheritance of the premises; and in trust for the benefit of Humphrey Sandford his heirs and assigns; M.L. covenants that she has not incumbered the property.
