Title
London Office Outgoing Correspondence, 1823
Date
1823
Description

Five bundles of press copy letters by James Brown in London to Soho, and some external correspondence, from January to December 1823. The bundles have been sown together in the same way as 1822, and have also suffered water damage. The bundles are in roughly reverse chronological order, with the most recent letter on the top. In the list, the bundles have been listed chronologically, earliest first. Within each bundle, the chronology is not exact – for example Brown seems to have grouped letters to William Creighton together. Also, in the 4th bundle, letters from October have been erroneously placed after September and August. Brown writes from the London office unless otherwise stated. The letters are one sheet long unless otherwise stated.

Arrangement

1st Bundle – Jan. 2nd Bundle – Jan.—Apr. 3rd Bundle – Apr.—Jul. 4th Bundle – Aug.—Oct. 5th Bundle – Nov.—Dec.
