The resignation of Thomas Oliver, Councilman, was accepted and he was discharged.

Upon reading a report by Aldermen Duke and Probert and Treasurer Mr. Holme Burrows on the petition of Thomas Nicholls, mason, it was ordered that he might have a lease of the house (opposite the Nine Houses) to hold for twenty-one years, from the 10th October last, paying six shillings and eightpence and maintaining it in good repair.

The part of Hough Green within the liberties of the city, lately enclosed by order of the corporation with fences which had since been maliciously and secretly thrown down, was to be again fenced at the cost of the corporation under direction of the Treasurers.
