The orphanage was situated in Ashbourne Road, Derby and later became St Christopher's. During the war, the children were evacuated to Foston Hall. When the school closed, these records were held by Derby and South Derbyshire Area Education Office and transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in July 1988 as part of accession number D1458.
