Petition to establish Cambrian Lodge to meet as No. 144 on the first Tuesday of every month at the Castle Inn, Merthyr Tydvil, Glamorgan sent to Thomas Harper, Deputy Grand Master of the Antients' Grand Lodge, nominating William Williams as Worshipful Master elect, William Edwards as Senior Warden elect and William Williams as Junior Warden elect, signed by William Williams, Frederick Waters, William Williams, T Llewellyn, Thomas Lewis, John Morgan, John Bryan, John Treharne, William Lewis and James Edwards. The Petition is seconded by Benjamin Thomas, Worshipful Master, William Davis, Senior Warden, John James, Junior Warden and John Williams, Past Master of Ancient Britons' Lodge, No. 126 [SN 1495], Caerphilly, Glamorgan.

Loyal Cambrian Lodge was granted a warrant by the Antients' Grand Lodge to meet as No. 144 on 20 June 1810 and named in 1837. In 1810 the Lodge met at the Castle Inn, High Street, Merthyr Tydvil, Glamorgan. The Lodge relocated to the Bush Hotel, High Street, Merthyr Tydvil in 1828. From 1881 the Lodge has met at the Masonic Hall, High Street, Merthyr Tydvil.
