Administrative / biographical background

Following the 1981 World Council of Churches Sheffield Consultation on this subject, the British Council of Churches set up a CWMC Working Group in 1982. In 1983 the Standing Committee of General Synod was asked to prepare a Report. The files in this series belonged to BMU member Mary Tanner, and reflect her work in this area and beyond the two Working Parties.
