Description (What the record is about)
-
In your memo dated 21 October 1949, you asked me to keep you informed of any changes affecting the figures in my letter of 17 October. Flight tests have now been carried out with full measuring equipment and the engines converted to the new 'civil rating'. This new rating merges the climb and cruise conditions at 14,500 rpm and the cruising power is slightly greater than that obtained in flight tests carried out last October, though still less than the original brochure value
