Description

Clerk's Department files on air raid incidents, opened initially under the direction of Councillor Sir Alfred Cope, who assumed the responsibilities of the Air Raids Precaution Officer from April to October 1939. The files contain ARP reports on incidents, returns of damage to central government and some correspondence with owners of damaged properties.
