Description

Eight folders of 35mm slides and other ephemera collected by William Ross Cockrill for use in lectures. The slides depict landscapes and peoples from Papua New Guinea and China. Also included are images relating to agriculture, farming, veterinary science and surgery.

Immediate source of acquisition
It is unknown how these slides came to be in the Horniman Museum. It is possible they were donated to the Museum in the late 1990s along with objects collected by Cockrill.
