Assignment from Thomas Venor of Warwick, baker, with the consent of Thomas Cookes of Billesley, yeoman, to John Green of Ilmington, gentleman, for £200, of a mortgage with further charge, recited (nos. 122, 124) of premises in Snitterfield described in no. 122. In order to secure an additional loan of £300, the said Thomas Cookes and Sarah Cookes of Wolverton, widow (daughter and co-heir of Caleb Perks late of Snitterfield) mortgage to the said John Green several parcels of land, meadow and wood in Snitterfield, comprising one yardland, part of the land either purchased by Thomas Cookes, father of Thomas Cookes, party hereto, from John Watson and John Brayne, or which descended to the said Sarah Cookes as the daughter of Caleb Perks, to hold for 500 years at a peppercorn rent; and also assign to him an eighth part of the tithes of Snitterfield, held on lease for 1200 years, which Thomas Cookes the elder had acquired from Joseph Lacy on 18 March 1725/26.
