Lancaster SW.342 (ASZ.107 & AS Sa.1) On the Adder the 8' dia propelling nozzle was again removed so that further performance records could be obtained on the 10' dia nozzle. These checks are now in progress and at the same time several handling checks are being carried out. On the mamba icing installation two small and one large methonal nozzles were fitted in the intake. Fairey gannet VR.546 (DM.208) The present engine DM.208 is now time expired and will be exchanged for DM.210 soon. Fairey Gannet VR.557 (DM.207) Modifications still proceeding. Fairey Gannet WE.488 (DM.205) Investigation of the starboard engine speed vibrations previously reorted was continued. Blackburn WB.797 (DM.206) Engine relighting tests were made on both engines at forward speeds from 100 to 250 knots and altitudes up to 15,000 ft. Consistently good starting was achieved on the starboard engine, although some trouble was encountered when unfeathering was too rapid. Lancaster TW.911 (ASP.109/110); Wyvern VP.109 (ASP.112); Wyvern 867 (ASP.126). Canberra WD.933 (AS .Sa.114/115) The first ground run was made on 8 August 1951. Nacelle cooling checks on the port engine proved temperatures to be satisfactory. The engine and the aircraft are now being prepared for flight
