In this series have been placed materials that appear to have been collected by E.M. Forster when the Lord Chancellor appointed a committee to reconsider the British law of libel at the end of the 1930s. The series contains four files. The first, and by far the largest, consists of minutes of the committee, while the remaining three files consist of related cases and correspondence.
