Administrative / biographical background

This was originally known as Connaught Road School, Board School which was built in 1884; prior to 1884, a building in Haddington Street had been used. These buildings were retained for the East Hove Senior Boys' School in 1929, on the re-organisation of the schools. The school closed in 1967
