Flying test beds: AST Lanastrian VM.733 (two Sa.6 outboard); Gloster Meteor WA.820 Two Sa.2): Canberra WD.933 (Two Sa.3); Canberra (2nd aircraft) Two Sa.6R. Prototype aircraft: Javelin WD808 (two Sa.6) 2nd aircraft; Javelin WD.827 (two Sa.6) 3rd aircraft; Handley Page HP.80 WB.771 (4 Sa.6) 1st aircraft; Handley page HP.80 2nd aircraft; Avro Vulcan VX.770 (4 Sa.6); Hawker Hunter (Sa.6); English Elctric P.1(two Sa.5) Hawker Hunter (Sa.7). Viper contract postion: Two Viper long life required by Armstrong Siddeley Motors for Provost aircraft. Viper in tail of Lancastrian SW.342. Double Mamba: 150-hour development test using synthetic coil and 150-hour development test at 90deg Coil inlet temperature.
