Deposited by Surrey Archaeological Society. The records were presented to the Society by Sir Peter Greenwell in 1945. They were formerly held under the reference 84/-.
This deposit includes an important group of account books relating to the early banking business and private affairs of Robert Abbott and his nephew, Sir Robert Clayton (d.1707), who purchased Marden Park. It also includes a series of 18th century estate accounts relating to the Marden Park estate.
