Folio 673. Draft letter from the Local Government Board to Walter May Barton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, in reply to his letter of 18 October 1880, which advised them that the sale of the Bawdeswell Parish Property was set for October 28 1880 and which also raised the query if there is to be any reserve bidding and if so whether it is to be fixed by the Local Government Board or by the auctioneer. The Board states that so far as the interest of the parishes of Bawdeswell, Billingford, Bylaugh, Foxley and Sparham is concerned the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Union are the proper parties to determine whether there will be a reserve bidding or not, and if any, its amount.
Paper Number: 91262/E/1880.
Poor Law Union Number: 302.
