Mrs. Moore's father-in-law from her first marriage was called Herbert Tonge. He put together a book of events from 1911 (from which the following are taken). He was a sergeant in the First World War in the Manchester Regiment and as he was involved in musicals and plays in civilian life, he was involve in concert parties during the time he was in the army.
