The Lloyds, the present owners, derive from the Zachary family through the alliance of Sampson Lloyd with Sarah Davis Zachary, and the latter family from the Mucklows by the marriage of Thomas Zachary, of London, citizen and skinner, son of Thomas Zachary, Physician, with Elizabeth Mucklow daughter of William Mucklow described as of Leytonstone, gentleman. Both were members of the Society of Friends and the marriage took place at the Quakers' Meeting-house at Devonshire House, in Bishopsgate Street on 23rd June 1696 Nos. 17, 18.
