The St. George's East York Militia Lodge was named and established in 1782. In 1782 the lodge met at the Golden Ball, Toll Gavel, Beverley, Yorkshire [the Head Quarters of the East Riding Regiment of York Militia]. The lodge moved around the country with the regiment. The lodge was erased in 1829.
